Nick, this is a great place. I mostly post questions since I only know enough to know that I don't know enough, but it seems to work out OK.

OK, here's another machining question. I have the original main bolts, but I'd like to run a windage tray. I can't seem to find any windage tray bolts like GM used to make; all I can find is windage tray studs. Would it cause main bearing clearance problems if I installed windage tray studs? (Milodon says no, but of course they want to sell me the windage tray stud kit.)
