LT1 into a Fox body

ANyone have resources for parts like EFI harness etc?

I know AJE makes a K member and trans mount, Kooks makes headers...does anyone else make stuff for this swap?

I did a google.....lots of LS1 info, no small block Chevy info.

My engine/trans combo in a 2900lb chassis.....interesting thought.

Any drawbacks that might popup?

I saw a turbo SBC in a notchback. It was gutted and had a complete stand alone PCM. He was running 8s on low boost.

Howell Engine Developement can make you a harness for your swap. They recently built a harness for a LS1 into a third gen swap we did. If you don't want to go that route you could alway us a aftermarket system such as F.A.S.T or Big Stuff 3.

I used to own a mid 9 sec mustang on 28x10.5 tires stock suspension. I would have 1.29 to 1.33 60' times every pass. The car weighed 3150 with me in it. My camaro could never weigh that or have those kind of 60 and still have full interior. The swap have become very popular these days. I am considering sellling my whole car and building a big ls1/fox. The people you listed David are about it for parts. Alot of guys are going standalone for the harness/ecm or modifying the stock one.

The info below was posted on another board here in FL.

1993 coupe

clean black interior

teal paint that is shot, clearcoat is missing in alot of spots and overall looks like ****. body is very straight.

LS1 and 4l60e

stock shifter and all stock gauges work except speedo. there is a conversion for apporx 350 to convert the tailshaft to make it cable operated but my last three cars never had a speedo so i never cared.

TSP 225 cam

comp 918 springs

yank 3600 converter

full exhaust. 1 3/4 longtubes, x pipe, borla XR1s and flowmaster tailpipes. car is quiet except when beating on it.

3.73 gear

AJE Kmember

D & D coilovers - a little noisey going over big bumps

factory camaro radiator and fan setup. the car runs 180 all day long.

the a/c should be finished this weekend. then i need to finally align it and have revXtreme turn off the lockup function for the converter because sometimes it bucks at low RPS in traffic.

car ran 11.88 @ 115 on the motor. that was only on a 235/60/15 drag radial with a soft sixt foot. it will go a low .70 with slicks.

price is FIRM at 5500.

may trade for a rust free pre 73 nova, camaro, firebird or something like that.

Hey FASTFATBOY How and when did you get this idea
Hey mdacton maybe he wants togo 9;20`s
Also why not just use the gm lt1 engine harness and computor if your only going up to 6800-6900 rpm ? Thats the plan here.

Well I had been contemplating this for a while, then seeing your Fox made my weenie hard(BIGCOWL) low 10's on motor is very appealing. I went 11.02 Sunday on pumpgas and drag radials weighing 3800lbs.

3300lbs is instant 10.50's, 200 shot=low 9's.

VERY appealing.

Problem is selling my NICE rolling chassis to cover a NICE Fox chassis as it's equal. Andhaving enough to get the K member and headers.
