Glasstek was makin lexan tops at one time. (these are not off the shelf, custom made to order)

You can't make lexan go up and down or tint it. Its for race only, it scratches easy too.

The heaviest pc. of glass is the hatch, windsheild next......BTW lexan is not DOT approved...you can't put it in a street car, and over all I think you are looking at 50 lbs. taken off or less doing all the glass

I bought the roof panel off a guy that did a t-top conversion, with the intent to fit the light weight composite roof panel into the stock t-top frames. But I could never find the required t-top frames. Anyone that damaged the panels when the top flew off the car also managed to wreck the frames along with the glass.

Percy's Speedglass sells replacment sets for the stock 4th Gen glass, including the hatch, but no t-tops.

They claim there lexan weighs 32#, compared to 96# for the factory glass.

replacing all the windows with lexan will take off alot more weight than you would think... does anyone know exact weight of total combined glass? im guessing 150+... to the lexan weighing around 50... I would think 100+ pounds would be shed?

i just picked up a hatch and doors from a camaro im parting and they are heavy id say a hatch it about 80 pounds...and doors about 100 each....

dont know how much is glass i think the hatch is about 60 pounds and each side its prolly 10
my car is basically strip only few street miles here and there but i want to still be able to look as factory as possible...and if i can have the lexan roll up and down, didnt think it would be that hard just have to remove the glass and install the lexan, prolly be careful shuting the door as the lexan prolly isnt as stiff....
but i also want to do t-tops i think it can save another 15-20 pounds there
all this and still appear stock

edit, just looked on their site lexan saves 64 pounds for the hatch only!!! woohoo...im kinda scarred to do the front window in this what do yall think?
