Larger throttle bodies...
Larger throttle bodies...
Guys,
I am sure you all can probably explain this to me: suppose you have a fuel injected engine, stock cam, stock computer, and headers.
Suppose you remove the smaller throttle body and replace it with something bigger. This would allow the engine to breathe better, yes?
So, given the above scenario, would the engine run like crap? Would it perform pretty decent? I have read already that an engine is an air pump. It will only 'breathe' what it needs. BUT, with the bigger throttle body it will breathe a little better at higher RPM's, right?
I realize that to get the full bang for the buck you would have to do all the other mods such as a cam and endless other things. However, am I pissing in the wind or is a bigger throttle body something that might help a 'restricted' engine?
any help would be appreciated...
thanks,
joe
