How to get installed height of these springs as high a possible

Whats the highest you could install the Comp 943s to? Stock height is around 1.78 so what combination of valve length, +.050 retainers or possibly lowering the spring seat can I use to raise the installed height? Can I drop the seat that mch at all?

Probably can't take the seat down any more. You can get the valves long enough to get it where you want it

The 943's still have 212 lbs on the seat @ 1.950, I would run them @ 1.900, which means a .100 longer valve, +.050 lock/reatainer and some shims to get it exact.

what kinda pressure do you need? like he said.. with +.100 valves and .050 locks you can get 1.950 pretty easy...

I dont think he will need as much spring pressure as you normally would with a solid its a small one about 225 degrees duration. Trying to get all it needs but not extra wasted spring pressure

I woul still start out at 200-210 on the seat(1.950ish). they will lose 20lbs quickly from use, and I bet your cam would be fine with 180(what did the grinder say?)

I would say 220 at most(starting)
