would it be possible that the supercharger is stalling? ie. too much boost, too small of a blower?

just a thought

My car is doing something similar, but I dont have a supercharger. Cuts out at 6200-6300 and drops nearly 100 rwhp. Havent gotten to log anything yet, but so far nothing has helped.

the boost stays at 9psi the whole time so its impossible for the blower to be sucked out

I can't change pulley sizes on the fly but i'm sure your right and that would affect it.. BUT the problem is I need something that would fire threw the charge.. not punk out with a less boost

i'm convinced its blowout but i wont' be able to tell for sure until i have a bit of time on my hands.

if it was blowout, why does the power increase after a certian rpm? mabye im missing something

and true, the boost is remaining constant, but the speed on the impellers is still increasing with rpm, and after a certain rpm with enough pressure on the blades of the impeller, anything will stall. a high degree pitch prop on a plane can make more thrust at a lower rpm that at a higher rpm...i dunno, this is just a theory im not that familiar with blowers...

because cylindar pressure comes back down. especially with the camshaft i'm using.

If the compressor was stalling than the output would be reduced and the boost would fall

I just got a job at Summit, and we had a MSD tech guy give us a seminar today.
Well I believe its got to be spark blowout, which MSD coil are you running? some coils are rated at 80 to 200 milliamps. Even their big honkin Blaster SS is only 300 milliamps.

Since you have the MSD 6 series try the MSD 8253 coil (Blaster HVC II) maybe it will help?? It is rated at 450 milliamps.

If not you'll have to get a 7 series ignition, but then you could run the HVC II coil, just think 2000 milliamps, whoo whoo!

TWO (2) full amps!!

I'll think i'll do that LTCC swap before that.

I've had problems with ignition boxes in the past

seems hard to believe that only 9 psi would be the most you could do without blowout. there are plenty of people that run more boost than that with no problems.

did you try gapping your plugs down more yet. i remember you saying something about .025-8 or something like that.

the difference is I make 9psi at peak torque.

Nope sure haven't don't have a 3/4 wrench on me and nobody here seems to either. So i got to wait until i go home again.

If it's been doing this with different power adders, engine combos... have you checked for timing chain slop? Maybe the timing is being wacked at the higher RPMs if the chain is loose.
