Headers for bigblock in 4th gen

Are there any headers presently made for bigblock to work in a 4th gen.
Also what intake should i go with not sure about cowl clearence. I know i may have to cut the cowl or remove it to clear the carb. And can you run a belt drive distributor so you wont have to pull the engine if you have problems with the distributor in the future

Nobody makes a direct engine swap header. From what I've read, you can use Hooker headers #2455. They're not an exact fit and some modifications will be required to make them work but that's your best choice unless you want to fab up a set of custom headers for 4 times the cost plus all the headaches.

Re: Headers for bigblock in 4th gen

you'll need to swap out the fuel pump and fuel lines as well.

You'll definitely need a cowl to clear the hood on any set up... on a big block you might need even more.

Don't know about the distributor... sorry.

Sounds like you might wanta check into getting a set of custom headers done up... but that won't be cheap. This is definitely not a "bolt in" upgrade though so that's to be expected I guess.

What kind of rearend/tranny are you going with? what are your hp/ET goals?
