Have My Cylinder "Washed Out"
Bought this car 3 weeks ago, I hope I'm wrong but somehting went way bad today!!
Let me give some details. 96 LT1 383 forged bottom end 8.5:1 CR. P600B ATI with 7# boost. Has Edelbrock throttle body but not sure what size. Was advertised as having ported LT1 heads and blower cam. It has 55lb injectors. Ford 9" 3.73 with T-56
I'm new to EFI. been drag racing all my life but never the EFI way.
Any way.... been running it around town for the past 3 weeks just shaking the car down. Took car out toady to give it's first test above 4000 rpm. went through 2nd 3rd & 4th gear @ 5500 and nor car smokes white out tailpipes.
My question...... It has always smelled like it's very rich on the tune. I will listen to all opinions, but do you think the 55lb injectors are to muck and I know have "cooked" piston rings due to washed out cylinders??
