Hopefully someone in here has heard of a fix for this. A buddy posted this question in the LT1 forum but no one seems to know anything about it. Here's a link to the post..

Basically though...how do you get oil out of the pp after you have a rear main leak. I do see how resurfacing would fix it because the oil could have penetrated deeper than you want to cut. We've already got the new disk ready to go in so this is the last thing to fix before we can put it back together.
