Well I'm praying that my trans is still good and my hopes are still up about it but I just can't figure it out. My car makes a weird thumping noise in the back at times, for example: When taking off from a stop, sometimes the RPM's will go up a little, then comes the thumping and after that it takes off. Also when it hits second gear at full throttle, it will thump. It almost feels like it tries to go but the gears in the rear arent touching and then they all of a sudden bang together or chatter a little and then go. It's very odd cause sometimes it slips more than other times before it thumps and goes. Sometimes it will even work fine and spin the tires off the line with no noises. Another clue for you: I used to be able to downshift manually because of the fact that I have a shift kit installed but now if I downshift without my foot on the gas, it feels like it's in nuetral until I hit the gas and then the RPM's go up to the speed of the gear and then takes off! I mean I could do 50MPH and shift it into 1st gear and the RPM's will drop all the way down to idle! I'm very sorry if I'm rambling but I'm trying to give you guys a good picture of what it's doing. I know a lot of you really know your stuff so please give me an idea. This is very frustrating for me cause I am about to put my full exhaust on but I want to wait until I get this fixed.
