FAST eDIST with FAST SEFI and LS1 Coils

I am currently running a FAST sequential EFI with a crank trigger and a modified MSD distributor for a cam synch signal(reluctors removed except 1) and conventional MSD ignition.

I recently purchased the FAST eDIST LS1 "Direct Fit" 30-5001 distributorless ignition box, as well as the MSD distributor plug with cam synch, 8514. I will be using 8 LS1 coils.

The MSD cam synch plug is hall-effect, do I have to send my FAST SEFI back to FAST to have it setup for hall-effect cam synch? Also, the MSD cam synch has a 4-pin metripak connector, does anyone know what the pin outs are for it?

Anything else I need to know? Thanks!

I didn't post my response initially because the answer seemed obvious... call the manufacturers. But since TazZ28 broke the ice, I'll chime in.

Didn't the MSD cam stub come with any instructions? Since these things have been nearly impossible to get, I doubt many people are going to know what the pin-out is. Surely MSD could tell you. Just out of curiosity, what does come with the stub, if anything?

I'm planning on calling FAST and MSD tomorrow, but I was hoping to start working on it over the weekend and thought if anyone knew what the pinout was I could get started. Niether MSD nor FAST have weekend tech support. I called FAST last week about the eDIST and thye were very little help really, basically telling me they leave it up to their installers to figure it out. That's great, I've got almost $6000 worth of FAST stuff in my car and they tell me to just figure it out myself.

The MSD stub only came with installion instructions - how to set the slip collar for correct gear mech and oil pump engagement. The rest of the instructions were related to their CPC system specifically. There were no pinouts at all.

The eDIST instructions are equally lacking. Not only do you ahve to assemble your own harness, but the minimal directions you get are simply a barely readable fuzzy photocopy. Not to mention that I'm missing 6 wires.

So far this has not been a pleasant experience and I'd bee half-tempted to stick with my MSD dostributor and Digital 6 box. It works great, but I've already invested in the distributorless components so I'm committed. I'm going to document what it takes on my website for the ebnefit of other guys who are interested in doing this. I hate always being the guinea pig...

Well, if anyone is interested, the pin outs for the MSD 8514 cam synch distributor plug is:

A = Not Used
B = Ground
C = Hall-Effect 5v input(+)
D = Hall-Effect Signal (-)
