Emergancy Fuel inj ?: Need info before buy!
Hey fellas Im buying 30lb injectors for my 383 combo, its staying N/a for a while still, then N20 or Blower later. I just ordered a Racetronix Walbro style Fuel pump (Walbro GSS307 255lph). Next is injectors. I have Accel's out of summit for 250$ and Ford SVO's out of thunder racing http://www.thunderracing.com for like 300-310$.
My question is is there a big diff between the companies. Are there other ones i can look into?? Aside from the 2 i mentioned. I will be getting of course PCM reprogram, so thats not a issue. But for a 50$ diff i was wondering why. if you have had ANY personal exp, or you had a friend type exp please post im ordering now. I just want to make sure i made the right choice.
Thanks
Aaron

30lb/hr injectors are a very small step up for what you are doing.
You might want to consider 37's or 42's as this will give you room to grow. Too many people only factor in the HP vs. lb/hr when buying injectors. You must factor in the RPM range of your motor as time to inject narrows with increase in RPM. It is best to keep injectors operating around 80% max under WOT, MAP & RPM otherwise you will start to lose control of the injector timing which can cause erratic fuel delivery. If you plan on pushing your combo to the edge you might want to consider spending the extra money on a set of flow matched injectors.
