And check out this month's Popular Hot Rodding for some more info on these blowers.

Nice setup Rooster I love it! For whoever asked if it was the same SC as the GTP I believe it is not. The GTP uses an MP90 aswell does the Thunderbird SC. This blower looks to me to be the MP112 that is used on the Cobra and Lightning. Eaton/Magnuson says the MP90 is good for engines with a 3.0 to 5.7L displacement however I've seen them become somewhat of a restriction on the 3.8L cars even when they are ported. The MP112 would be a better choice for the LT1. There are other roots type blowers that would also peek my interest like a Whipple charger and such. My only question is could this setup fit under a stock WS6 hood or maybe even an SS hood? I was dreaming of a ported dual Gen 1 MP90 setup a while back. Ahh to dream.

I don’t know where you got that they are restrictive on the 3.8… we’ve modified an M90 to work with a 5.0 ford and it’s run a mid 11 at 120mph… airflow = hp, plain and simple. This thing will run 10’s with that blower before we’re done.

Is it just the blower whine that's loud, or is it the intake? I can imagine that the intake would be loud as hell, because of the sheet-metal construction. If it were plastic or composite, that would provide some kind of sound-deadening, but since it's sheet metal, and you're passing an incredible volume of air through a relatively small cross-sectional area, I'd imagine the whistling of air just entering the plenum would be deafening.

I bet if you ground off the words FORD and SVT it would quiet down. I don't know about the patent thing since your not casting your own intake or blower cases but it's a pretty interesting project though.

wow that looks great. the shop i work for is a magnuson dealer. weve had people see the show car and people always wants to know if itll will work with the f bodies. supposedly they are working on building one for the LS1 f bodies, but ive yet to see any system for an LT1 even for the trucks and impalas.

if some one does flat out steal your idea then id try to do something about it, but anyone can basically copy it and show how its different then sell it as their own. i hope that doesnt happen to you. and good luck.

oh and this may sound dumb but are you sure youve got the SC spinning in the right direction? Trey
