DCR Question
DCR Question
Hi all,
Engine on the RX7 is getting rod knock so time for a rebuild.
On my last 383, I went with 9.2 DCR on the small cam and have had no issues at all but then I never went past 5800 RPM. It has been a great setup with a quench at .039.
This engine, I plan on a 383 with a cam that will wind past 6500 RPM. My understanding is that such a high DCR on a large cam could give me different results than my earlier build with a baby cam. On this build, I plan on a 0.035 quench.
