cutter for venturi/throat on valve job

Where can I get a arbor and cutter for a drill that I can use to cut the throad diameter? the guy that did a couple valve jobs just left a 72degree inner cut to the stock port.. so I gotta remove a BUNCH of seat materiel there, and it is VERY tediuos to do by hand. so anybody know what I need exactly, and where I can get it? thanks

note; I am not trying to do my own valve jobs.. just want to be able to open the throat/venturi out with acutter and arbor than by hand. something near a 90degree cut.

Theproblem you may encounter is finding an arbor that fits into a drill press or hand drill, if that is what you are after. Most arbors/tool holders will be designed for use in a dedicated cyl. head machine.

I wouldn't even mind making something that will work.. local shop said there is no way a serdi or sunnen cutter would hold up with a drill or drill press.. said the guide can't center it well enough.. *shrug*

Thats good and truthfull advice the shop gave you...If you used the arbor as a pilot in the guide you will still have some problems due to guide wear..I would search for a head shop that will allow you to carefully check over the work..Preferably one that does a lot of stock and superstock work...If your sereous about doing your own work then you can find cheap sunnen or serdi equipment on the net for just under 8 grand..I know how hard it is to find a shop that does good work..Luckily i have a good friend that owna remanufacturing facility and lets me use his equipment and a head shop that is very **** about his work...

Maybe a bowl hogger on a drill press..With a custom made fixture it should work fine..I use a fixture i made on a 3/4" drill press to do my own top side head machining..Strapped some tungsten steel to the base and its pretty damned sturdy and checks out perfect every time..

www.usedshopequipment.com is a link that may work for you if your in the market..
