Coil on Plug ignition
Coil on Plug ignition
I am looking for a good system, but all I can find is the Electromotive system, which isn't really coil on plug. The LS1 system is the only one that I can think of, has anyone adapted this to a non LS1 engine?
Any help is awesome.

Have you looked at the MSD "CPC" IGNITION?
Alternatively, you can build a full coil-per-cylinder system with the LS1 coils, and an aftermarket ECM with multi-channel ignition driver.... e.g. MoTeC/IEX, FAST/eDIS. All you need is a source for a cam position signal. If you do a "search" there is a thread on here discussing alternatives to the OptiSpark ignition on the LT1, and there is a link to pictures of a FAST/eDIS setup using a self-built cam position sensor.

Another alternative is Megajolt, but you'd have to wait probably a few months. Fully, real time programable system that you build yourself. I'm going with the JR version which is wasted spark, a coil for 2 plugs, good enough for me.

) are considered CNP (near). As a bonus, I'll add that GMs DIS (direct ignition system) is a waste spark ignition system. This system fires 2 cylinders at one time. Not the same as the LS1 type system. This system is used on Buick V6 and Cad Northstar.
