Question Carbonless Impression Paper?

Came accross this interesting item... carbonless Impression Paper for finding cylinder head and deck warpage.

http://www.carquest.com/common/downl...tsgskjv_tk.pdf

only catch? it says it's 0.006" thick and that the 'lack of an impression indicates a surface that is out-of-flat by at least 0.006".'

Isn't 0.005" enough warpage to cause sealing problems?

Just wondering if anyone's used this stuff and if it's effective at all?

.004" is max spec for a small block chevy deck surface. Still, it would be interesting to give it a try anyway. Just to see what it looks like, even on a good flat deck surface.
