Callies internal balance???

Hello guys..

Today I received my callies magnum plus crank internally blanaced (shaved counterweights).

I gave them my bob weight of 1834.4.

Now.. the question i have is this:

I noticed that the counterweights do not have "holes" to add and solder weight to them like my eagle does.. How can you go by this on the callies to do a full internal balance?

I mean, of course if the bob weight is correct i will not need to do anything at all about it... but since I didn't have my arp l19 rod bolts to weigh them, there might be a little difference there (although they look the same size).

Would i have to do an external balancing of the engine (which i dont want to for small as it could be)? Or the machine shop can do it internally anyways?

Thanks

balance

Take it to a real GOOD machine shop. They may have to drill some holes in the balance weights or add heavy metal or both.If it is done RIGHT it will be neat and balanced. When someone is working on the heart of the bottom end make sure it is done right no matter what the cost.

If weight needs to be added the shop will drill the appropriate sized hole. The heavy metal slugs come in a variety of diameters depending on how much weight needs to be added.

I dont think there is much weight to be added really... Don at callies told me to not worry about it unless i change setups... the bob weight of 1834.4 i gave them was with rings and all... the only change are that the pistons are ceramic coated and that the rods have arp l19 vs 8740s...

So i guess i shouldn't worry... but still ... I really liked that crank...
