Post BOOST/NOS/COMPRESSION

I am putting togethor a 355 and im going to run around 10-12 psi boost aftercooled, and 100-150 nos. What compression pistons do I need and which pistons to go with? I have 6inch rods. This is a stock headed car with a cc306, and full exaust. Thanks for the help.

You are going to have a problem with your setup. To run 10-12psi + N2O on pump gas you want a CR <9:1. The biggest dish I have seen is -21cc which will give ~9.75:1 with stock CC volume. I would get a set of -21cc pistons and pray a lot! Alternatively, only run the N2O with race gas.

Rich, I remember seeing a -31 cc dish somewhere. If it wasn't 31, it was low 30's.

Jesse: thanks for the info. If that's the case, I say "go for it"with the caution that some pistons with alarge dish have weak crowns.

keep the quench (piston-head clearance @TDC) tight, polish the chambers and piston crowns, maybe even get a ceramic coating on the crowns. That'll help avoid detonation. (also polishing the chambers will increase cc a bit)
Lastly, having a cam with a later intake valve closing point will reduce cylinder pressures.

Why are you using a 306 for that setup?
