Anyone relocate MAP sensor

Currently I'm embarking on modifying a stock intake: porting runners, eliminating ski ramps in runners, and opening up throttle body openings. I want to know if any of you fellas repositioned your MAP sensor for any reason. Pics would be nice........

move it wherever you want.. it just needs manifold vacuum.. my gtp has it's stock map sensor mounted on a bracket and a vacuum line connected to it.

Just remember, if you run a vacuum line from the manifold to the MAP sensor, the length and diameter of the vacuum line will determine how much the MAP reading is "dampened"..... too long a line, or too small a line, and you will isolate the sensor from the intake manifold and slow down the response time.

On my GTP IIRC it has around 2 feet of vacuum line going to the sensor from the factory. The line isn't greatly oversized or anything.. But if you want to be safe I guess you could mount it with a huge line really close. Then again my gtp sensor is a 2 bar and less sensitive than an fbody one. I know it isn't mounted on the manifold because the supercharger would make it nearly impossible. GM might have even programmed the computer a little differently because of the location of the map.. but I don't know. As long as it isn't 10 feet away or something i think you should be ok. Just steal one of the direct taps off the side of the manifold that is used for the egr or something and steal the egr's vacuum from somewhere else if you want to be safe.
