which studs??

which arp main studs are supposed to be used for a 2 bolt lt1? my problem is the sbc studs with the windage tray studs not only comes with too many long studs, the studs are not even long enough to hold the windage tray. i called arp and the said i have to order 3 extra studs from a chevy 400 kit with a windage tray but they have sold me the wrong studs twice so far and i want to be sure this time.

thanks

True you will have to get some longer studs if you want ot retain the stock windage tray. There is not an ARP # for the right kit for lt1.

You can eliminate the windage tray if you plan to use an aftermarket pan with an integral tray.

If you eliminate the tray with a stock pan, you will likely have the oil pressure problems/losses as mentioned in other recent posts.

Yeah I would suggest a Canton pan with just the stud kit to keep it all simple. Canton makes a dam good pan if you have the budget for it.
