I plan to run the few NSCA events that will be close to Michigan and the Big Dog/Street Tire Shoot Outs at Stanton this Summer. A friend of mine puts on the Street Tire Shoot outs at Stanton and he just finished a ProMod Viper running a Schmidt 632ci I would like to give him a run for his money.

I seen your car running at Ubley Dragway before and a very clean car it was indeed.

See Ya at Milan, I do believe that is where one of the NSCA events are benig held instead of Martin this year.

Your post however shows me where you are in this game. I don't play street racing games anymore cause 'normal adults' are suppose to think beyond the moment.

Good luck in your endeavours...with your attitude and your knowledge you will need it....
LOL!!! Good way to back out of a challenge. Oh ya and didn't matter weather or not it was street racing or at the track! I know plenty of the top racers still street driving there car's Millen from Livernoise was seen driving his 7 second Turbo Mustang on the streets this past year and if you think that none of these guys don't street race your crazy.

Don't worry I not going to loose sleep if you don't respond you keep right behind your computer typing as a adult making sound decisions and continue to be a genuise all nice and safe at home. I'm sure I will never have to worry about anything your building or racing because I will never see it.

Oh and please don't take this the wrong way!

Best of luck to your self.

36cc combustion chambers? Ouch, so much for a flat-top piston if you have any goal of running pump gas.... although you may be able to use diesel.

I guess heads like this really require a -30 or so dish for pump gas(custom of course since we're talking 11* valves ). Very cool idea... but not exactly a bolt-on head or even for a standard rebuild. There are some 18* pistons that are off the shelf (I believe Weisco makes some), and 18* offset lifters are fairly common as well.

I'm almost scared to ask what kind of lifters/rockers you need to run fro 11* valve train stability though. All things being equal, a 23* or even a budget 18* head is the most I'd consider for my use. I can't even imagine the money you'd have to dump in an engine to make an 11* engine worth the effort.

just curiousity. whats required to run the little chief heads 11*... even if it was an all out race car. i'm assuming a standard block is ok. custom sheet metal intake, custom headers, custom pistons for the valve angle, etc, right? not entirely sure how the valve train set up would be. any one got the details of the requirements. i remember seeing these heads assembled for around 2000-2500ish. is that realistic?

thanks,

mike

ouch... I think I just sprained my pocketbook.

I think I'll stick with a 18*-friendly bottom end (for future upgrades), and run 23* heads for now. 11* sounds trick, but damn that's a pricy.

well, 10500 would be for a professionally modified head, right? i called summit and they sell the bare castings for 1300 a piece. i would guess 3900 for an assembled set ballpark. still way out there in price, but its really a pro's head for racing.
