AFR 227 Valvetrain Parts
Bud...at this level of power CHEAP should not be even typed in the long run what are you saving $350-$400 total from the cheap to the best shaft mounts, is that kinda of money really worth it.....I would say NO....if you drive your car every day why not put the best parts in so it will last time after time,

i found some .225 offset stud mount rockers i am thinking about using..how many do i need to get 4 or 8?
very true, but the AFR227 need the offset, these heads and a new cam plus the killer V-train 7000rpm = BADASS, or go AFR210's then and you will be fine with what you have, or keep the ported stock heads and just change your cam....
You have to loosen up the studs with the rockers on and adjust the guideplates side-to-side to get the tip centered. You can do this using a "crow foot" socket. It's a fairly standard procedure when setting up a valvetrain.
Call Jesel direct, and get the part number for their SS series shafts for your 227's. You can also buy direct from them, or find out who one of their vendors are. When I bought mine about 2 years ago, I paid $725 through my engine builder.
