I ran them before in my IROC. If i remember corrrectly the tips were capable of screwing off. And I lost several tips fiddling with trying to get them screwed into the motor or trying to get the plug wire onto the plug (i had clearance issues) Other than that I dont recall have any issues with them.

We use them in all our 383 TBI motors where header clearance is an issue, no problems that I have heard of.

Question Shorty Plugs

Been running the Autolite shorty plug 3926 for my
new AFR headed motor and can't seem to find any
different heat ranges for this plug from Autolite.

Do the Accel shorties come in different heat ranges?
Have always run Autolite but might switch for a colder
plug. Wonder if thier any shorter than my Autolites
as SLP 1 3/4 header clearance still pretty close.
