9" or 12 bolt (Noise)
Yes, I know, but how do I convince THEM that? The bad part is that this is my daily driver and I just got a second job, so I can't afford too much downtime. If I could get them to replace the gears, I would have someone locally check it out before I stick it in. I would like to rule all other possibilities out before I send it back.

Well having been in the business and dealing with rear-ends, I dont see how anyone could warranty any product they shipped assembled and back it up. From a shops point of view, I would have to say.....Did you follow the break in procedure? and of corse all I would hear is "Yes". But I could tell if you didnt, there are tell tale signs that will stick out, post inspection. But this is how a shop gets away with things just like this.
But most diff shops dont know their @ss from a hole in the wall, and yes I will say that about Currie, Moser and some of the others. I used to fix all KINDS of their problems, and it really surprized me that a business as well know as some of these are putting out a @hitty product.
To get anywhere with this, call your local B.A.R. (Bureau of automotive repair) and find out about the business itself. You can get a complaint history from them and find out just how many people have complained about the same exact thing. If you complain enough, hopefully the "customer is always right" thing will kick in or haggle it with them. Have them pay for the labor and you pay for the gearset....could be your only avenue. AND, if and when you get to this point, get a USGEAR/Strange gear set. Watch them put it in, have them explain it to you as they do it. And note any descrepencies while this is going on. It should be a text book pattern with a 12 bolt and USGEARS. If it is not then the housing is bent (have seen them brand new that way) or the tech needs to be schooled on WTF is going on.
Good luck.......
