502 BBC and 4L80E swap

Ok I need to know what exactly is going to be needed to run the 4L80E behind the ram jet 502 BBC. They say you can only run 3 bolts but is that enough to hold? I wouldn't think so at all. If anyone has any info let me know.

I know all the old BBC's only used 3 bolts to hold the Flexplate to the Converter.

they say this is only three bolts between the trans and engine. I am thinking an adapter plate will be needed.

There are 6 bellhousing bolts and you should have all of them installed.

I have this setup now. It needed a adapter plate to mount the engine to the trans. I used a diesel converter with the snout turned down to make it all fit.

There are 6 bellhousing bolts attaching the transmission to the engine and all 6 should be used.

The 3 flexplate bolts only attach the torque converter to the engine. There is no physical hard connection between the torque converter and the transmission. Disconnect engine from tranny and you can simply pull the converter out of the tranny. The converter simply sits on the stator support and engages into the pump drive but in no way is it actually attached to the transmission.
