Not when you can just use a 502 or build a 534-555 ci big block 9.1L.

Build the 555, call it an LS6.

Actually, the LS6 I was refering to is in production today

The 7.0L C5R block-based engine would fit without too many modifications and would be much quicker than that aluminum Rat block.

BTW- I'm building a 454 (actually 461) to put in my Caprice. The rason I'm not going with a stroker is simply because I got a decent deal on the engine. It is a mostly complete 454, but needs a rebuild. I'll be adding better pistons and possibly better rods, but I'll be reusing the stock crank if it's still in good condition.

yes sorta thats what im shooting for, except that has the 572 bbc engine in it. i wish i could afford one of those engines cause id put that in instead of a 427. but they are only hand building about 900 of those 572's. im sure they will be very expensive.

All of the cars except the bottom one are 69 ZL1's all orginal. The bottom one is my 02 ZL1 #46 with the C5R 427. THe motor is all alluminum but it is fuel injected not carbuerated.

Here is a pic of another 02 ZL1 427 engine compartment.
