I was just reading an article that stated..."Most typical small block Chevrolets need block clearancing and a small base circle cam when using 6" rods." I'm pretty certain both of these things are false, but I'm looking for some definite proof.

I have never needed a smal base cam for them but I have had to clearance a few blocks for them to fit.
