Battery drain...
Mkay... a little more testing has been completed and I believe I've found the prollem. The battery is junk.
I'd like to thank Shoebox for his outstanding webpage and would like to publicly let him know I'm ready to have his children if he so desires.

So.. when I was milling about prodding around I would open/shut the doors and would never keep power applied for 10 minutes. I did so and discovered after 10 minutes the draw was a mere 20MA. Take power off and reapply it would jump right back up between 80 and 100MA. I'm off to get a new battery.
Thanks to everyone for the help!
A week shouldn't kill a battery. My other Optima was fine w/ that.

As long as your battery is hooked up and you let it sit for long periods of time, it is going to eventually run down. The only way to deal with it is to get a battery maintainer. Either plug it in and hook to terminals, or hook it up underhood and merely plug it in when you are not driving it much.

Righto: A week would probably not kill a battery, however if you just went to church and back each week, you would not drive enough to top off your battery and it would eventually drain to the point that it would not start the car.
you should always wait for about 40 minutes before checking for draw to ensure the vehicle has "gone to sleep".
if you consistantly let the car sit like that a battery disconnect switch might not be a bad idea
