wiring help

hey all....I'm in the process of wiring up a 88 camaro that has had the old wiring harnes hacked up....I have a good harness out of a v6 car and the v8 harness is the one thats hacked up(by the previous owner)....the engine is a 305tbi....ok...so the part thats good on the hacked harness is....from the computer all the way to the wiper motor....all the sensors pluged up fine....heres the hacked part....where the harness goes in the firewall on the DRIVERS side...its cut off....with a battery in I have nuthing....so I'm figuring ign and all from the drivers side comes from that part of the harness....so...if I have most of the v8 harness already pluged to the engine...and just need to splice it to the existing v6 harness that enters the firewall on the DRIVERS side....will i be fine??? from what I gather...its just lights/washer pump/cruse control/ign...and such...coming from that location.....I have the 305tbi computer hooked to the other end...the end thats plugged into every engine sensor...does this make sence....does anyone know what the harness coming from the DRIVERS side wire wall go to?????
