They should

I know that 2nd gen to 3rd gen do not work or 3rd to 2nd unless you drill.

But If I remember right the 3rd to 4th & 4th to 3rd do work

The seats are direct swaps! No need to take the seats off the brackets, just inbolt 4 bolts (remove wires if powered) and then remove seat, and drop in 4th gen seat, bolt down (hook up wires if ya got em). Fronts and rears are direct swaps.

IIRC, the third gen ones are a little shorter then the 4th gen ones

No. Ive done the swap myself..... it will take you 20 minutes to remove the old 3rd gen seats and bolt down the 4th gen seats. Everything lines up 100%.

Its the 2nd gens that are shorter & you have to redrill for 3rd gen seats.

I'm pretty sure if you run 4th gen seats in a third gen, the 3rd gen brackets make it sit lower

Mine didnt.

They sure feel the same to me, and I've got 16 years and 140,000 miles of seat time in my '84.

I can swap seats in & out in about 12 minutes. Mine current seats are from a 1994 Formula.

They're the same. Direct bolt in. No difference in height either.
