Post Why does car die when.....

The AC is turned to max. Could this be an alternator problem, it is less than a year old and is 105 amps. If I hold the gas for a little bit the car is fine. What causes the problem. Any increase to go from Flowmaster to SLP or Random Tech Exhaust

My only guess would be the AC is bogging the engine down enough to cause it to stall.

Does the A/C only have to be on for it to stall the car ? If so, it could be the compressor. If the A/C has just been serviced the compressor oil could be low or even out. This would cause it to stall the car and the compressor could seize. The alternator could be bad. If you replaced it with a rebuilt alternator I would take it back for an exchange/refund. AC Delco is having some real big problems with there alternators. They just got through moving there factory to Mexico or something. Anyway, I hope this helps. Sorry for the long reply.
Thanks,
Bryan

Could be the IAC is not kicking the idle up when the AC is on. Could be bad or just dirty. Try taking the IAC out and cleaning the plunger with carb cleaner.

I agree with quick91rs. I would start looking at the idle air control motor 1st.
