Honestly, I seen a 93-97 Z28 today with SS badges on it. Stock Z hood, stock 16" rims...i was very close to asking him WHY he did that.

I'd take them off personally, otherwise it looks like a fun project. I can see a Sunset ORange color maybe...hehe

What year is the car? What engine do you have? LG4? or L69? I'd say it needs some lowering springs. Tint the windows, and paint it blue or black. Definately get the 4th gen seats in it.
Also the Z28 badges really do look bad. It doesn't even resemble a Z28. No flame intended. What about some 5.0 HO badges or something like that? IMO it would look better than the Z28 badges.

Paint it whatever colour you like. Since you have a red interior, black would look excellent. Then if you later add ground effects (as you should if you desire to keep the Z28 badges because EVERY single 3rd gen Z28 had ground effects) paint them light grey with a red stripe separating the body from the gfx. That looks killer, believe me!

Port and polish your stock heads, put in a Crane PowerMax 266 cam, 3.42 gears and tune up the QJet nicely.

It will be a low 14 second Z28 clone that will look hot, too

Why not just put a huge TypeR sticker on it? Loose the z28 badges if its not a z.

Lose the z badge, paint the body solid black, no gfx, it will look bad***. A black thirdgen is sexy!!! Focus on aircleaner/carb/manifold/cam. You said you already did exhaust, right? People won't make fun of you at the drag strip anymore, like they do me. Oh, and definitely subframe connectors, as said before, if you'll be playing with that much power.

I like how some people can give suggestions and not be total *******s about it, while others just assume as much as they can.

1. My car has upgraded suspension, i.e. shocks, sway bars, struts, etc. I'm waiting on a custom strut brace, subframe connectors, and eibach springs at the moment.

2. If that engine put out onlt 155 hp, then id kill myself. I've already put a nice set of edelbrock heads, a .292 roller cam and roller setup, and an edelbrock performer rpm intake, and a road demon 625. The block has been bored, and I now have a steel crank, forged rods and pistons, and some other assorted goodies, like a posi from an IROC with 3.73's. I have a ****LOAD more than 155 horses

So here's the deal. I own this car, I paid for it, and I've put more work and money into it than i care to list. I'll put what I want on my car. There isnt one goddamn thing wrong with having z28 emblems on that car. You people are just getting bent out of shape because someone can build something that you paid too much for. Anyways, if you want me to take these emblems off, come to arkansas. take em off yerself. Hell ill let you take them off. But i cant be ****ed to go take them off because a bunch of idiots doesnt like what i do to my car.

You call me a ricer...which is total ****. My car can back up what it says. It doesnt just look fast, it IS fast too. Rice is something that looks fast, and is stock.

I rest my case. Thanks to those who offered decent advice without cutting down my car. this can be closed now, because I'm tired of ****heads that dont know their *** from their elbows cutting me down for no good reason....

Hmmm I think I you don't know what your talking about. I I know my *** from my elbow thank you very much. I am glad you did all that work to make your car go fast. Its just not fast enough. Personally I like the whole "sleeper" look.
