Where can I find a louver?
Where can I find a louver?
I decided I want one after seeing another with it. I like teh look, and I know visibility is worse but I will deal with it. There was a nice deal on one a while back around here but I passed it up and unfortunately can't find another one. Anyone know where I can get one? My local junk yards only have severly damaged ones.
Try Hawk's 3rd Gen. He has all kinds of parts and he's a real good guy to do business with.

I had the rear window louvers on my 89 IROC and decided to take them off, they are black and can be painted to match the color of your car. I think it could use a new coat of paint. I have all the mounting hardware with it. I'm looking just to get rid of it and gain some space in the garage. I haven't looked at them in a while, but Im not sure if they can be taken apart and shipped. I would probably leave it all together and send it truck freight since it's too big to ship via UPS, FED EX, USPS. I think from Elkhart, IN to some where in New York it was something like 70-80 bucks to ship. These louvers are aluminum unlike the more common plastic. I do have some pictures on my computer that I can send to you if you want me to. I would like to get 80 bucks for them. If you want them email me at IROCTang@aol.com.
EDIT: I forgot to add these are the FACTORY rear window louvers, not an aftermarket production.

Hey lifechanger,
Ya the louvers should fit an 88, since it has the third brake light in the spoiler. I see that you live in Chicago, thats not that far from Elkhart, IN. We could just meet up half way and make the deal. That way you wouldn't have to pay for shipping.
