Where can I find a GM Crate 350?

Im looking for a crate 350 w/ Vortec heads so that I can slap a TPI on it and call it good. Got any idea where I can get one and how much do you think the whole swap is going to cost me?

Also, would it be better/easier to rebuild me 305 TPI, and slap L98 heads on it, Stealth Ram, some headers, and spray?

IIRC, the Vortec 350 is around ~2500?

A guy on this board with a black bird has one. Hopefully he'll chime in. 1fastformula is his name I think.

Also will need a new Intake for those Heads, add another $400. GM crate try a GM dealer or did you think to seach on the net???
Unless you are doing it yourself Plus additional major items like Headers, Torque converter and new Exhaust etc etc. You will have at least $4000/4500 with engine & extras + Labor.

His sig already says 3" Flowmaster...

Labor? You can do an engine swap yourself! Good luck Rage!

Big deal he has a rusted Flomaster, and he did not say he was doing it himself . Even so its still going in the $4000/4500 range not cheap. Been there and done it. and the money does not stop just because you swapped the engine in yourself.

I am doing the swap myself. With the help of my buddy Aaron. Im not arguing w/ y'all on how much it is going to cost me, Im well aware of the expense of the project, I was just wondering what would be a good way to go. My LB9 has a cracked head, so Im looking to swap something. Either an L98 w/ minor modifications, or a crate 350.
