I'm sporting some Centerline Scorpions 17x9.5 rear with 5" backspace wrapped in Firestone Firehawk SZ50's 285/40, and 17x8 front's with 4 1/4" backspace and 255/45 SZ50's. They stay under the fender and appear to be evenly extended from the car.

It appears Summit no longer sells these wheels (where I bought them) and Centerline no longer has them in their catalogue, so I don't know where you could get the style. Personally there are better styles out there. I got the tires from www.tirerack.com when they were on sale. Total cost two years ago was about $1400.

You could go wider on the rear, from what I hear but I don't know the numbers (315/35's?). Maybe even go wider on the fronts but changing the the backspacing (ie going deeper) would give you interference with the shocks.

It's been a while since I've played with the math so if my front wheel backspace numbers are slightly off someone please correct me.

How about ZR1/SS wheels from SLP? No spacers needed.
