What manual do you recommend?

Im talking... something with step-by-step and plenty of pictures. Something a dumbass like me could benefit from.
Cant wait till winter so I can use the Hayes manual as firestarter.

Appreciate it. Hopefully Ill be able to actually do my OWN work. With Haynes... they dont even provide enough information, it makes me worried that I could easily screw up by missing something.

dont cheap out and get chiltons.....you will regret it in the long run. I always tell people i consider my helm manual right up there in terms of investments towards my car with buying oil and coolant...dont know how id get buy without it.

Hmmm.. never heard of a helm manual before, I would like to get one and try it out, I always buy ones and something is always missing, you guys sound pretty convincing with helm manuals, I am probably going to buy one for my car.

Gotta agree with you , the Haynes manual is about as helpful as a shrivled up half a hunk of dog **** ... The ONLY thing good about them is the wiring diagrams in the back , it saved my *** trying to figure out which wires go where on the tranny since some one conveinyently dyked them off of the harness ... no plugs lol ...

the best book is the factory shop manual, if you can get one. I have one for my z, and it is way beter than crummy chilton's or hanes.

Helm's is the factory manual. This is the company that print the manuals for GM.
