what flywheel does it have?

I am not at home so I can't look, I need a flywheel and don't know which one to get.

I have a 1992 camaro RS with a 350 TPI L98 in it from a 1990 GTA. Which flywheel is it:

14 1/8 inch diameter, 168 tooth dual bolt pattern and no weight

14 1/8 inch diameter, 168 tooth dual bolt with weight

12 7/8 inch diameter, 153 tooth and no weight

12 7/8 inch diameter, 153 tooth with weight

these are my options, if you can help I would appreciate it

Thanks
John

There's a BIG difference between flywheels and flexplates, but most people just call them all flywheels because they mount in the same place and look somewhat similar.

I don't remember whether your engine uses the 153- or the 168-tooth, but you definitely need a flywheel with NO weight. The L98 is an internally balanced engine.

OK sorry I forgot to mention that it for a 700R4 so yes I need a flexplate.

I talked to a tranny shop and he said the one with weight?? If I got the one with no weight wouldn't that through off the balance of the engine internally?? I thought the purpose of the weights was to balance the flexplate with the internals of the engine??

Can someone clear up the confusion I am having and also if its 153 tooth or 168 tooth??

How about a good place to get a performance flexplate??

Thanks
John
