Would start at the car wash if it drives ,then use some kind of degreaser/engine cleaner(walmart sells a driveway cleaner REVIVE that works well for this) ,a couple of small wire brushes, maybe a good parts cleaner brush ,and some rust-o-leom paint to start, don't worry to much about the pullies that will wear right off as it runs a little ,after clean-up you may want to sray some lube on the moving parts like the tensioner, wipe all your hoses down with a rubber conditioner(replace any that are soft/cracked,etc.),mask and paint parts that show and that you can get to easily(don't just spray everything )take your time and mask things off before. You'll have it looking clean and that will be a big improvement over what you have now. A little elbow grease goes along ways. Good luck.

Awesome, I'll start at the degreaser part since it doesnt run, should I be using protective gloves, goggles and some sort of mask for any of these chemicals?

You guys rock!

Safty glasses or goggles wouldn't hurt ,if you use the stuff i mentioned you don't need any gloves ,and it is biodegradable. so it won't hurt the lawn if you get any on it.

Rebuilt is just as good as new. I thought you were gonna go with a junkyard piece...lol

The 305 vs 350 hp...
I believe in stock form you get at least 30hp more out of a 350, plus your upgrades will benefit more from the 350. The only problem with swapping to a 350 is the compter. You have to get the Knock sensor, Ingition control, and computer to do the swap. Or you could go with an aftermarket for some $$$. Just do a search on it because I have seen it on many sites including this one. For some reason we love to talk about HP and Torque...haha

I noticed you mention gears....woooohooooo 4.10s Baby!!! Thats my plan too, along with the posi unit....

Lates,
