What brands available for fan switch?
I have been reading posts here for some time, and just registered today. I know this has been discussed before, but I am looking for a vendor or brand name (even GM part number if available) for a cooling fan switch to turn on my fan at 200 deg or so and off at 180 or a little higher. I have just purchased my 180 deg thermostat, a new sending unit for the gage, flush, antifreeze, gasket, and whatever.... What switch do you recommend? What prices are typical? Does GM sell one in this heat range? Thanks. Jess
Oh yeah, I have a new trans cooler to install too.

Do what I did. Wire up your own fan switch for $2.99. It works just as good, go to the autoparts store, get a switch, wire it from you battary to the switch, the hot wire from the fan to the switch, then run the ground to a bolt somewhere, and then run it to your ACC. It works great. Just takes some time because you have to map it out yourself.

Thanks for the info. I got the Hypertech unit for $39.99 at A & A Auto Parts. Now all I need is a spare Saturday to flush the system and install some stuff. Jess
