upper bolt on T56 pedal swap...

Hey guys! I put oin the pedals and after I had put it in I relaized that the very top bolt slot doesn't even come close to lining up with the hole in the car.

Is that bolt really necisary? Could I just ignore it? Or should I longate the slot until it does match up with the hole?

You could probably get away with leaving it out, but don't be surprised when your clutch starts creaking. I would take the time now to get a bolt in there and KNOW it's not gonna be a problem later.

mine hasnt had one for over a year. i just make sure the 4 firewall bolts are good and tight ocassionally. they also all 4 have a backup nut on the firewall to lock the first nut.
