parking brake seized!!

Angry parking brake seized!!

the parking brake handle is seized on my 91 z with disc brakes in the rear, i was wondering if it could be a problem with the cable or maybe the rear caliper is seized, i am told it is a common problem in our cars. anyone elese have the same problem??

what do you mean by "seized"?

My parking break doesn't even work.

i cant pull up on the parking brake handle next to the shifter, it wont budge!

i have a similar problem when ever i go to pull up on my brake it is hesitant, then when it budges there is a weird thump sound im just gonna have my cable replaced.

I can pull mine all the way up, but nothing happens :P

same with me, i can pull it up, but it doesn't do anything

I have to pull mine up, put it down, and pull it back up. Then it works fine, but you have to do it at least twice, sometimes three times.

Common cause of non-working parking brake is lack of use. The cables rust in place and need to be lubed to free them up.
