trouble with tpi start

I recently purchased my 88 iroc. Last night I stopped at the gas station to fill up and when i tried to start it to leave, the motor died right out. I gave it a little gas a couple starts after and it started as long as I put constant pressure on the throttle. I ended up driving it home but I had to keep my foot on the gas the whole time. This morning I was trying to start it again and same thing. Could this be a bad sending unit? Please Help!!!! I love that car..

The only trouble code is 34.

Re: trouble with tpi start

34 is a MAF sensor code. Try replacing the MAF power and burnoff relay before you replace the MAF.

Re: trouble with tpi start

Thank you

I changed the MAF but that didn't work. I reset the ecm to clear the codes and now a code 33 and 34 are popping up even after I changed the MAF. Could it need a new MAF power and burnoff relay? I'm thinking the fuel filter possibly but I have limited time to change it if it is so any advice helps!!!

Re: trouble with tpi start

check around for vac leaks. a vac line could have fallen off and injection is more sensitive to this than a carb. also when ya change a MAF iv heard its good practice to swap the 2 relays as well.
