Transmission stuck to block...Need help

Alright....Im pulling the engine block....The block is stripped and I took all 6 bolts out of the bell housing to the block. Motor mounts are removed and so are all the wires. I started pulling the motor and the tranny stays together. I then noticed the clutch fork might have to be removed so i removed the push rod to the fork but cant get the fork out??? What am I doing wrong? Do I have to pull the tranny with the block Thanks for the help in advance.

5 speed? Did you remove the black splash shield behind the flywheel (bottom of the bell housing, the starter nose runs through it)? That can hang you up. the clutch fork will come out with the bell housing. I usually unbolted the trans from the bell housing and removed the trans, pulled the splash sheild and removed the bell housing (crowbar may be required, depends on the car). Did that help any?
