Dont know anything about trannys. What could be causing it and what are some ways of finding out? One problem after another

Could start by saying if it is a manual or auto and a rough location where the leaks is at. Some people can give you good advice but they are not minereaders,

I don't know a lot but I have had a couple with leaks over the years. If it is just a few drips see if you can tell if it is leaking from the pan gasket. I had that problem on my '68. I just changed the fluid and filter in it last weekend. I replaced the pan gasket and then put in new fluid and Bars Stop Leak. No drips or leaks anywhere.

Many years ago I had a '73 that left a puddle. It needed a rebuild. I went through a quart of fluid every other week!

So, If it is just leaving a drip mark you may be get away with some stop leak, if it is shifting OK and you don't notice any problems when driving.

If it is leaving a puddle, you probably have a bigger problem.
