Question Transmission choice

Hello everyone, I have a T5 behind a moderately built 350 in my 83Z and I noticed that the transmission is starting to leak some fluid. I am planning on driving it as long as it will go, however I was curious as to what choices I have for replacement. I have read some stories of T56 swaps and I am not too sure if I want to go that route. Is there a good richmond 5 speed, or another brand that would fit my bell housing and clutch? Money is not too much of an issue, I just want a strong tranny that is easy to swap in place of my T5. Thanks

Every one I've talked to has been happy w/ their T56 swaps. Another option is to browse the Mustang boards for a good Tremec.

Tremecs are good trannies, but the T56 have the cool factor. Besides, who likes cruising down the highway just above idle!

Thumbs up

I can respect a T56, and that is a reasonable choice, I was just curious if there was another choice, Thanks
