Tranny/Engine help
Tranny/Engine help
Okay here we go again... my wife's camaro is killing me with stuff, I finally figured out exactly what transmission it has in it-TH350! Now everything i have read and researched tells me that it should have the TH 200 in it. Did the previous owner do a tranny swap on me or could my thinking be right that it has had a small block 350 backed with a TH 350 put in it at some point? As always confusion abounds with this car and it makes me really like my Jeep wrangler more and more. Thanks in advance for all the help
Re: Tranny/Engine help
82s hame with a 200 metric, however, evternally, it looks the same, but, the 200 doesn't have a vacuum modulator, and the 350 does, so look for that
if it has the modulator, yeah, its a 350, direct bolt in, other then the torque arm mount
are you sure it has a 350 in it?

Re: Tranny/Engine help
It is a TH350 tranny, it has 13 bolts on the pan and the vacum actuater as well as the torque arm mount on the tailshaft. From what i can figure out it is actually a TH350 C (lock-up) because of the shaft that the torque converter sits on. I bought a remaned TH200 metric but it doesnt have the torque arm mount on the tail shaft and isnt set up right for the speedometer and so on. I think it is an electronic tranny. Anyway i can't figure out why my car has this tranny in it and i am really wondering if the motor isn't a 350 also. Haven't been able to get to the numbers on the block to check. By the way if you know anyone looking for a th 200 metric new remnned tranny i have one for sale CHEAP!!!
