The reason I ask is because the person i bought from, is the person that put the vette motor in it, but he died, and the son that I bought the car from doesn't know the exact year of it...is there a way to find out what year the engine is by lookin on the block or something? and if I invest this 700 bucks to do this, how much HP increase am I looking at after I do this?

If they are the aluminum 'Vette heads. They will have the standard '86 and earlier bolt pattern. If they are the newer iron heads, the center intake manifold bolts are at a 72 degree angle instead of a 90 degree angle. So, if it is an aluminum headed bette motor, the early style manifold will be just fine.

yup they are the aluminum vette heads, so this stealth ram intake should work right? and can somebody give me an approximate Horsepower increase if I get a stealth ram intake, 52 or maybe 58mm throttle body. And I haven't decided if i'm gonna get new heads or not. Would heads make a huge difference?

If you have the aluminum heads, why not port the hell out of them professionally and it will flow real good?

Spend your first $20 on the "Insider Hints" book by TPIS (call Jegs). That book will be your best investment before spending any more money.

That's the best advice you'll get. Get yourself some knowledge.
