I ran the same combo as Chris's85Z28 for years. No problems whatsoever on my stock 15x7 wheels. I used to have 235/60r15 all the way around, as was factory for an 85 Z28. The 255/60r15 gave a slightly larger rear tire, still fit and handled decently, and did not affect the speedo. No rubbing!

my buddy has 275/50/15 on his 89 t/a, and 265/50/15 up front, and the only clearance problem he has is when he cuts the wheels all the way. 275/6-/15 are a tall tire, and unless you want to look like a 4x4 I wouldnt get them. if you do get that size tire in back, and like a 255/60 up front, put in step side bars so your passengers can safely enter/exit the vehicle.

Well the 255 x 60 x 15's are on all four wheels and look good. They definitely fill in the wheel well a little better and have more rubber on the road. We clearance checked the left front before installing the other 3 and there is a close fit at the bottom near where the fender turns in, but this shouldn't ever hit unless I'm autocrossing or something.... which I don't plan on with this car.
Thanks to everyone for all the great feedback.
