Th200-4R into a '88 T/A, need help bad!!!

Hey guys. I broke my left foot not too long ago and can't really drive my '94 right now. Plus, I wanna park it and do some work to it. Anyway, my th350 and a 10" converter are a BITCH to drive around town, specially given the fact that the tranny/converter are about to blow. It stays in second gear at the light unless I manually shift it down, converter flashes to 3500 RPM+, I can foot stall it without spinning the tires (NO JOKE) to 3300 RPM or so and, on top of it all, its making nasty noises. So its time for a winter tranny.

Well, don't gut much cash now so my choices are either a redone th350 with a 2000 stall converter (should not be too expensive). But I have a good th200-4R in my garage that I would like to use. What is involved in putting one of these into the '88? How would I mount the torque arm? What about cross-member? Thanks guys, I really need help on this one!!!

I am pretty sure that to use the 200-R4 you would have to get the torque arm and rear mount from a 89 Pace car. That is the only third gen that came with a 200-R4. Check out this site as he has a listing for using the 200-R4.

Other than that all I can tell you is to check out the tranny part over at thirdgen.org.
